Wiley Advanced IROS 2025: Advancing the Science of Robotics Intelligence
From October 21 to 23, 2025, Wiley successfully hosted the “Wiley Advanced Editors Forum” and “Editor Face-to-Face” series of events at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. As one of the important academic sub-venues of IROS 2025 (IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems), the event focused on the cutting-edge research progress and publication trends in the field of robotics and intelligent science, attracting enthusiastic participation from researchers, journal authors and industry experts from around the world.

Two new journals in the Advanced series, *Advanced Robotics Research* and *Advanced Intelligent Discovery*, were launched at the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Systems, showcasing their forward-looking academic value in robotics and intelligent systems research. Wiley looks forward to more submissions from Chinese researchers to jointly promote the global dissemination and exchange of high-quality research results. Ms. Zhang Moyi, Global Vice President and President of Wiley China, congratulated Wiley on this achievement and pointed out that Wiley looks forward to working hand in hand with the global scientific community to jointly promote new breakthroughs in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.
On the afternoon of October 21st, Wiley hosted an Advanced Editors' Forum focusing on the theme of "Tools, Ethics, and Practices for Publishing High-Impact Research." Dr. Richard Murray, editor-in-chief of the journals Advanced Intelligent Systems, Advanced Robotics Research, and Advanced Intelligent Discovery, and associate editor of Advanced Science, Professor Longqiu Li, executive editor of SmartBot, and Professor Chao Xu, executive editor of IET Cyber-Systems & Robotics, explained the key to successfully publishing academic papers and shared valuable experience and practical advice on hot topics such as submission guidelines, publication processes, academic ethics, and the compliant application of artificial intelligence in publishing within the Wiley Advanced series of journals.

In addition, on the afternoon of October 22, the Wiley booth featured a special "Editor Q&A" session. Dr. Richard Murray, Editor-in-Chief of the Wiley Advanced series of journals, and Dr. Shaoying Cui, Associate Editor of Advanced Science, were present to engage in in-depth discussions with researchers on topics such as research directions, submission suggestions, and the review process. This initiative promoted the global dissemination and exchange of academic achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and injected new vitality into the research and development of robotics science.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, the Wiley booth remained open, attracting a large number of attendees who stopped to exchange ideas. Many participants expressed their hope to continue participating in such high-quality, high-level academic events in the future. Wiley also looks forward to meeting with researchers from around the world again at future conferences, continuing to promote the development of the global robotics and intelligent science field through the Advanced series of journals, and jointly exploring the infinite possibilities of science.
